I think you're dealing with two factors. First, mid 30s seems to be when most women are about to get divorced, but they haven't yet. Second, phone culture (I won't assign this just to millennials) is corrosive to the mind, particularly women's minds. The women you're probably trying to date have had a phone in their hands since junior high.

There's also blatantly obvious stuff you're falling for, especially if you are on the apps (trust me, don't waste your money). I saw the same 10 asian girls' photos on probably 100 profiles. If they link to their IG, duckface, filters, nope, gone. If they put pictures of their kids unobscured faces in their profiles, I shitcan them. Get more picky. And just relax.
