re: Do you believe in ghosts/hauntings?

I don't really know any African Americans that have ever seen a ghost, but they told me certain things that most believe. One morning a black coworker came to work and she looked extremely tired. I asked her if she had a bad night and she told me that she didn't sleep at all during the night. I asked her why she couldn't sleep. She told me that the reason she didn't sleep was because she had a witch riding her back. I never heard of this before and she explained to me what it meant. I know a young black couple that recently moved into a house where a woman died. I told them that the woman's spirit might visit them. They told me that no spirit would ever bother them because they had a ditch in front of their house. I asked what that meant and they told me that ghosts can't cross over running water.
