i am simply using prior results to apply to future circumstances. the circumstances are that the Pelicans play the Thunder, Bucks, Celtics, Suns, and Magic in the next 5 games. so now I go back to the previous 11 games being discussed and identify teams the Pelicans have beaten that are in this same class. do you consider the Clippers without Harden and Westbrook in the same tier as more than 4 of these teams? i do not, so i do not expect success based on prior performance.

it’s not a miracle the Pelicans are 17 games up. but there is a TON of luck that have lead to a lot of these wins that the Pelicans haven’t gotten in years past with injuries. i’m not complaining, but i’m not going to use it to predict future success
