There isn’t a lot of talent in the women’s game, and most of it is consolidated in elite programs.

The result is 100-33 box scores and all the favorites winning in single elimination tournaments

I wouldn’t even say elite programs as much as elite coaches. Look what happened to LSU and how quickly they turned it around when they got Mulkey. I have no doubt that if Staley left for another school tomorrow they would also become a power and we’d fall back to mediocrity.

Miss St had a great program for years and it ended almost as soon as the coach left.

Pretty sure that is what is mean by "lack of parity".
