I had a house sit vacant for probably 6 months between moving into the current house and selling that one.
I wasn’t concerned about squatters at that time because the house was extremely close to our current house, so I could go in and work as needed, and we had a next door neighbor we were close to who was retired and would have noticed someone there who shouldn’t have been.
If I were selling these days, I would be far more concerned between the economic shite hitting the fan and the very aggressive lawlessness around.
