90s. The last decade before Rock and Roll died. A bunch of bands that started in the 90s made some of their best stuff in the 90s. (RHCP, Beastie Boys, Metallica, GnR, U2, REM) It was also the Golden Age of Rap and the Silver age of R&B. Music hit a high point in terms of creativity and popularity. People could turn on the radio and like what they heard from The Fugees, then hear Pearl Jam or Dido and be just as in to it. Now music is just....bleh. Not all of it, I won't say that there aren't any artists out there making good stuff, but man. The 90s was just wall to wall with bangers from all corners of the music industry.

Are you retarded? Every single one of those bands started in the 80s, except for U2, who started in the 70s.
