In my experience, high fat meats is self regulating. Its just very hard to overeat in the same way you can with carb rich food. If I stuff myself with steak/eggs in the morning, I would not want to eat the rest of the day. I could house a dozen krispy kreme donuts and be hungry again in 30 minutes

this has been proven out in studies too....on average i believe the study said those that are on low carb self regulate and lower overall caloric intake by about 15% without tracking calories

and for the record...my personal preferred diet approach is a little higher fat, high protein and low carb. thats my personal approach as its my preferred way to diet. I have gone through times where is did lots of rice and lots of chicken, i can do that but if i stray any from rice or potatoes as carb sources....my stomach goes crazy.

i think people take what i am saying as me being anti low carb, or anti clean eating or anything like that when thats not what i am saying, simply saying caloric intake is what matters most when it comes to body fat loss. then its protein...everything else doesnt matter too much until you get to around 12%. timing, rest of the macro breakdown, the micro break down etc...they dont matter a ton until that point. do they matter...yea but not enough to obsess over. certainly not enough to label foods as good or bad. timing doesnt matter enough to obsess over either until then.
