Thanks for all replies. It's a flight at 6 in the morning so plenty of other flights that day. No reason to get to Boston at any certain time, just hoping to get in early enough to enjoy the city for the afternoon. I checked flights out of Nashville and they are only $100 cheaper and an hour shorter. I live about 15 minutes from Huntsville airport so it's about convenience. Thanks again, There are other flight options with a little longer layover, I will probably go that route just to be safe.

I'd 100% book the connection in your case. You have all day to get there, plus you're more than halfway there already in DC. American has a ton of flights from DC to Boston and if the next one is full ask to connect somewhere like NYC. I'm pretty sure if you're delayed in Huntsville, there's an early morning flight to Charlotte or Dallas as well that can get you to Boston before you leave AL

Forgot to add if this is the cheapest flight as well, book it. When is the flight scheduled for?
