It appears I will be in the minority here but I don't put emphasis on words around my children. How they are used, context, and that understanding is what matters more than it being a swear word.
All of the dipshit replacement words people come up with are just as bad as designated swear words because of the meaning behind it.
You're a piece of shite and you're a piece of crap have the same meaning and carry the same weight. A word doesn't make it worse.

My kids do not curse in front of my mom when she is over.
However, my grandparents and parents cursed - but never said frick.
