Cheaper yes.
Not necessarily better. Wilson is probably pretty close to being done and Fields is garbage.
They'll be picking a QB next year in the first couple of rounds
Arthur Smith can not develop young QB's. I saw that first hand here w/Ridder and the Falcons. And when was the last time this staff actually developed a QB?

Yet Philly chose to give up more to get Pickett than they would have had to give up to get Fields.
