Cypress swing… wood is still wet

What’s my best bet? Cutting my pieces slightly oversized and letting those dry?
I sure would like to build this while it’s comfortable outside.
It’s all going to be bolts and stainless screws. How screwed would I be if I go anhead annd assemble leaving the slats butted up knowing they’ll shrink?

How about cutting and profiling all pieces and then stacking them to dry. That way all you have to do is some assembly.
I've built several swings over the years and have never had cypress come wet but have used pressure treated that is wet and did the above with good results.

Best bet is use treated pine. The cypress will rot.
I don’t want it to be but it’s the truth.

Speaking the truth here. I've had outdoor stuff made of cypress have rot issues and now only use treated pine that has been dried for quite a while before I build the stuff.
I do have a 20+ yr. old cypress porch swing, but it is pretty much out the weather unless we get a heavy rain driven why southerly winds.
I'm hesitant to build anything exposed to the weather out of cypress again.

Treated would last longer for sure. I’m replacing one I built 15 years ago. I have plans of treating this one more but I know it’s probably a 10year life at best
