Not having hurricanes, insurance problems and frequent disruption is a selling point good enough for me. It is something of an oil town but nothing like LC and coastal points west. It also benefits from the Texas attitude of "doing things well" versus the Louisiana attitude of "who cares". Today's The Advocate" reports on Louisiana's population loss.
