The teams are relative to their competition. He turned around an SLC conference team with SLC level players and won the conference in year 1. Not to mention beat some power 5 teams along the way

You people are not only insufferable, but extremely disingenuous. I love Wade. LSU didn't really have a choice in the matter. If you look at this from an actual objective lens, it was easier for Wade to get McNense to the tournament than it was for McMahon to get LSU to the tournament given their circumstances.
