I did a bunch of research when building my boat. I would get a Tohatsu hands down.
That being said the motor weight jumps up at the 70hp mark and I found a lightly used 70hp yam, which is lighter for a steal.

My cousin now has me doubting that a 60 will be adequate for my 18x54. It's just me, wife, and 5yr old... I think the 60 should be enough
