It seems like everyone else on the team is more patient at the plate and gets the pitchers deep in the count. Tommy stands out with first and second pitch swings at anything within range, often resulting in ground outs or pop ups. It’s like he feels he can hit any pitch out of the park if he can touch it, so swing!

When you're one of the most feared hitters in the NCAA you have to hunt fastballs early in the count. He doesn't have the same protection around him that he had in last years lineup. If a pitcher gets ahead of him he's not going to get anything to hit

He’s putting the ball in play more than anyone on the team. All of the other starters and at least one backup have struck out more than he has. He’s still batting over .300 and knock the shite out of the ball a couple already this week. He’ll be fine.
