All of these licenses and their requirements are managed by a plethora of boards and commissions (political appointees) which were created by Huey Long to circumvent local governments. Most of them are relics and completely unnecessary. However, we'll know who swings the big stick when "their" board or commission isn't eliminated or pared down.
