Last year they were clearly better than us and had we played them in the finals and not Iowa IMHO we would have lost and likely lost handily.

We played toe-to-toe with them twice this year - I think our starting five can match up with theirs all day long - where they have us is depth and the style they play which requires physicality will lead to fouls and that's where the depth comes in, we don't have as many gals to bring in when we get in foul trouble as they do.

Would like to have the gal who got hurt early in the year and would have been nice to have Poe this last game but we don't so have to find a way to adapt and overcome that one thing.

I sincerely believe that's why Staley made the comments she did last year, it was not taking up for her friend as some suggested, it was she knew her reign as unchallenged Queen of SEC women's basketball was coming to an end.

Oh, they'll still be a top 3 team in the country every year, but it ain't gonna be cake in the SEC like it was for her....she knew it too.
