Style = Fashion. Like any popular fashion, it usually starts with some musician/actress/celebrity/revered-figure/political-icon starting a bizarre but unique trend, then it works its way into peer groups/tribes until it's no longer unique or bizarre, which from that pool then produces more derivative trend-setters that add-on bizarre but unique elements, until there is a whole generation of grotesque femi-nazi wildebeests.
