When I bought my first house in 2007 got a Kenmore side-by-side. It died right after the flood. Only fridge we could find was a Samsung floor model. That POS lasted 3-4 years. The freezer kept freezing over and shutting down. Sold it to someone for whatever I could get for it. We now have a whirlpool.
Only issue I have had is the ice maker quits working. Found a mention online that the ice maker will quit if the freezer is not less than -10. I put the freezer in it's coldest setting and the ice maker has been fine.
Kenmore/GE/Whirlpool/Amana are all the same. Look at the interiors and they are all basically identical.

I gave up on the LG ice maker. I've replaced it twice in the 10 years we've had and still haven't had a functional one in 5 years
