10% seems reasonable.
Also, you can have “dilution” risk with too many holdings.
I’ve always heard 12-15 individual stocks is enough “diversification” as long as they are different industries.
For MFs, some just go with broad based low cost funds.

I’m an ETF index guy but do like to purchase a handful stocks to make life a little fun.
