quote:
A fetus and a born living human begin are 2 different things for frick sake.
Are they?
Here's the Cambridge Dictionary Definition of the word "fetus": "a young human being or animal before birth, after the organs have started to develop."
quote:
Are fetuses counted in the US census? Do fetuses pay taxes? Should fetuses get welfare? Do fetuses get to vote?
Illegal immigrants don't qualify for those things either. Are they not human beings? Is it o.k. to kill them?
quote:
If a woman has a miscarriage , does she get a man slaughter charge?
Did she intentionally cause the miscarriage? Because if I cause her to miscarry, I can be charged with a crime.
quote:
A fetus is a fetus . And human being is a human being .
Clearly that's not true by definition (again, see above). "Fetus" is a word used to describe a human being in a certain stage of development, like "infant" or "adolescent."
What you're claiming is that because someone uses a specific term for a human being that denotes that human's developmental stage that he or she ceases to be a human, which is, of course, preposterous.
Secondly, the (obviously fallacious) argument that a fetus is not a human is not the argument that you started out with. This is a pivot.
