It was a meaningful factor in 2018, 2020, and 2022.

The 2022 elections had purple-moderate areas in key locations literally flip to DEM in 2022 after going GOP in 2021 (when Trump was intentionally marginalized and kept from those races).

Things are different now. There's no running from the reality of Biden's age and Trump is now being seen more as a victim than the antagonist. It'll be interesting to see how that manifests with these voters. Maybe they break for RFK. That'd make more sense.
