Is this your favorite quote from the Bible?
1 Peter 1:6-7 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
In 1 Peter 1:6-7, the New Living Translation (NLT) states:
“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold.” 1
This passage encourages believers to find joy despite facing trials and tribulations. Just as gold is refined by fire, our faith is tested and purified through challenges, ultimately leading to praise, honor, and glory when Jesus Christ is revealed.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)
