The 3861 wears smaller than the 1861 despite the fact that they are both 42 mm watches. The thinner profile makes a noticeable difference on my wrist.

The reduced version or Speedmaster Automatic has serious rotor noise that always seemed to be a huge problem when I owned the watch. Also, the braclet was subpar. I had Jean Rousseau, maker of the Omega cordura nylon straps, make a black cordura nylon strap for use with a deployant clasp to replace the metal bracelet. Even with the strap change, I had an extreme dislike of the Speedmaster reduced. BTW, I still have this specific strap and would be willing to sell if anyone is interested.

I meant to note in my earlier post the Speedy Pro really isn't a 42mm watch depending on how you view it. The bezel is 40mm and the extra 2mm are the asymmetrical bulge on the pusher side. None of that means anything when you are looking at it on your wrist but I think some people are turned off by the number never bothering to actually try it on.

The 7750 wobble. It is caused by the 7750 only winding in one direction so it free spins in the opposite direction. I have several 775X watches and I am one of those that actually like it. I don't fins the noise very noticeable but it varies based on the case it is in. I actually like that it makes the watch feel "alive". Over the years I have perfected to technique of spinning the rotor and will catch myself occasionally subconsciously spinning a 7750 based watch. I do understand how it would annoy some people.
