None of these bands would be considered Nu Metal, which helps them. None of them have hip-hop/rap influences. They're more influenced by rock and metal musicians of different areas. I know in the case of Alter Bridge, Myles Kennedy is influenced by Jazz. Steely Dan is his favorite band.
