IDK. I was always taught that the majority of incidents that involve use of a CC happen in close proximity and there's a very good chance that you won't have your other arm available to rack the slide (holding them off, being grabbed, etc...) in which case your pistol just became a more expensive, less effective hammer.

I don't have a safety on my CC and carry locked and loaded in a safety holster.
