Sorry lol Guess I should’ve expounded a bit
Im basically just trying to get him interested in music in general. And at least try and develop at least a small idea what it’s like to use an instrument. His mom and I have been back and forth for a good while about what type of instrument we want him to take lessons for. She wants piano, I want guitar
Anyway, I figured if I could find one that leaned more toward a lighter rock/pop that maybe he’d get more interested

i'd hop on facebook marketplace and find some Rock Band peripherals.
Fender Strat Guitar controller
Drums
Microphone
Rock Band 3 actually came out with a keyboard controller and a few songs, but you have to have Rock Band 3 for either Xbox 360 or PS3 and the corresponding console. keyboard support did not carry over to last/current gen.

If he shows any kind of musical ability have him 100 percent start on piano to learn to read music easier.
My son started at 9 on piano and now is into uke, guitar, and trumpet. Piano gave him an incredible base. As he gets a little older we’re watching guitar players on YouTube playing in front of 50k people and he’s obsessed with learning.
