I would think a cop car pretty much runs the entire shift.
While they are ticketing a speeder.
While they are parked behind a billboard running their radar in speed trap.
While they are buying donuts.
While they are in the 7-11 taking a crap.
While they are working a wreck.
While they are parked behind the auto parts place taking a nap.
A car gets too hot to sleep in - DUH!
