Andrew Schulz (I am not a fan) Would be much more excited if Schulz wasn't involved. I do not understand his appeal.

I don’t understand the hate for Schulz, what’s the issue with him? I can understand the hate for someone like Bert, someone I loved a few years ago but he turned into a drunken mess, even more than he was before.

He can come off extremely pretentious. Shane Gillis made fun of him on his own pod for his “Shultz-isms” where he repeats what someone says a bunch of times with his hands up and a crazy face to pretend like he just discovered the mystery of the universe. I don’t think they are super close, they’ve had some pretty combative podcasts

His podcast is also pretty awful with the 6 guys who do nothing but laugh at everything he says and grope him, get groped by him, or grope the guests.

Rubbed a lot of people the wrong way with that special he did where he hyped it up as “the new wave” (even tho it was just the Louis CK model), and his special was too raunchy to go anywhere so he bought his special back and supporting it was going to show everyone you can never cancel comedy. Only for him to drop it on YouTube a month later and it being a totally middle of the road special, nothing that cutting edge that any network would’ve said no to. He’s just grifting off that idea at this point. I think one of the biggest components of Shane’s rise, is he isn’t hyper obsession with being some world changing speaker of words, or champion of free speech. Dude just spits out jokes he thinks are funny, and a lot of them are.

I doubt Shane or Netflix would really want Shultz there hogging the attention and I don’t think Shultz would want to do something as a second fiddle.
