What no one said in response, is that bipartisan border bill passed by the Senate had nothing to do with the border. It was dead before Trump even weighed in on it. That’s a fact. The reason it failed is because it was an Ukraine war funding bill, sold politically as a border security bill. Nothing kicks in unless you have on average 5,000 illegals for seven straight days, or 8,500 illegals in a day. Enforcement left to the discretion of mayorkis? GMAFB. Nothing about detain and deport. Those words are not even in the bill.
