When you’re in the military, you are military equipment. Will he be properly disciplined for damaging military equipment?

It’s up to the commander and if this airman lives, it’s likely he won’t be punished to the fullest extent, but might receive a general discharge.

The real key is the commander finding this action to be outside of the line of duty and refusing government/tricare coverage for his injuries/treatment, but I’ve yet to see that happen in cases that obviously called for it.
