It's funny that you're mentioning this...
I remember passing through Alec back in the early 80's, headed to Toledo Bend, they still had an old school McDonalds with the golden arches that I was really happy to see. Unfortunately, they tore it down and built an up to date one.

They just tore down and built a new McDonald's in BR and this is exactly what it looks like. Out near my MIL's house in Alabama they still have an Arby's with the big hat. The building has been updated but that hat makes me happy for some reason
