It was an entertaining movie but as others said had significant plot holes for a Nolan film.

I think the biggest issue that exists was Nolan’s refusal to admit that the Joker was meant to play a bigger part in the film. He simply tried to deflect from it by saying the character was never planned to be in the film, and his adjustments left it flat.

Hardy as Bane was great but I agree his demise was quite pathetic in the end. For such a buildup, it fizzled at the end.

Colitard was all right but her character was completely transparent and a dead give away unlike some of the others.

They tried to put too much into one movie. This was the problem with a trilogy. Unlike the first two movies where you felt that the characters were pretty well developed and fleshed out, this one was trying to tie in too many loose ends and the film suffered for it.

I also think people look back at these films now and try to compare them to current comic book films and this is just stupid. Batman as a character was always more of a thriller and less hokey than the other comics. It was meant to be a suspense/thriller film more than a comic book film. This runs some people the wrong way because they seem to want Marvel type films and honestly that has become a problem in the genre.

I agree it is the 3rd best of the series, but that is not a knock on it and it is a very entertaining and good film.

Hard disagree. This specific movie was getting ripped from the moment it came out b/c it's fairly blatant Nolan didn’t put anywhere near the effort in it he did w/the first two. There are ridiculous time jumps, multiple instances where Bruce should be dead, and a ton of horrible logic that drags it’s down.

Nolan was supposed to be making a grounded more realistic Batman but this movie veers way off into stuff that wouldn’t have been acceptable even in the Chris Evans Fantastic Four movies.

The plot to bankrupt Bruce was a total joke. No financial institution would ever accept trades forced by terrorists. Period. That point alone ruins the entire middle of the movie. People have already touched on EVERY cop charging into sewer tunnels who are then ready to do battle even though they were down there for months. On top of that the fight choreography w/the cop/bad guy extras was terrible. The amount of obvious pulled punches and play fighting going on around Batman and Bane is embarrassing making it look as though they rushed through shooting the climatic battle. Bruce also somehow heals a broken back that had bone sticking out by… popping it back into place and laying in a hole for a month. Batman even takes time to set up a flaming Bat logo for everyone to see b/c… I dunno but I guess it doesn’t matter that he’s racing against the clock to stop a nuke b/c it looks cool! Also, “Robin” figuring out Bruce is Batman b/c he looked into his eyes once when he was a kid?

It’s a nice looking movie w/some cool set pieces but it’s just not coherent, completely ignores the original mission statement of grounded realism, and it creates a universe where Batman was only active in Gotham for a few weeks over the course of 3 movies. It’s a very mediocre end to the trilogy made all the more disappointing due to how it feels as though it maybe could have been a great w/a few script revisions. As is it feels like a movie that was pumped out as fast as possible so Nolan could move on to something else.
