re: Lines at academy to pay are out of control

It's been this way for years, it's not a recent phenomenon and it doesn't vary from store to store. They are intentionally understaffed at checkout lanes at every one I've been to every time I've been to Academy.

If I know exactly what I want, like another poster said, I'll just buy it from their website.

The worst is buying a gun there, after you go through all the background check bullshite (not academy's fault) you can't just pay for it at the gun counter and walk out. You have to stand inline with an escort at the regular cash register with all the Braxton's and Hayden's.
