We see a ton of invalid wills (many prepared by notaries) that are submitted pro se for probate. We are hired to set aside or amend 10-15 probates per year that were filed pro se and were incorrect. We set aside or amend even more affidavits of small succession. Some are due to incompetence, others are due to bad intent (e.g., "I forgot that I had two brothers and a sister").
