As a business owner that has to go to America’sMart 3-4 times a year, we stay downtown and then get out of downtown to eat most of the time. Buckhead/Lenox Square area is probably the best option here. High end mall, good food, safe hotels, etc.
Ate at a place called Yeppa in Buckhead in January that was pretty new I think, and really good Italian.
We sometimes eat at a hibachi/sushi place called Nakato, great lobster and steak hibachi. Don’t let the sex club caddy corner to it scare you off. Good food, meh neighborhood.
There’s a fine chocolate shop in Buckhead called Saint Germain with like all kinds of macaroons, chocolates, specialty desserts, etc.
If they want to get out of Buckhead, there’s a little restaurant in Inman Park neighborhood called Amore e Amore. Really fun place. They’ll have the place decorated in a theme of the nearest holiday, then about 7:30-8, they’ll crank the music up and pass out hats and start singing YMCA and shite. Banging cold cuts app, chicken parm, and tiramisu.
