I completely get it
Like I’ve said before, my first playthrough was exhaustive, 80-90 hours or so. My second took… something like 40 hours? My third playthrough was another big chunk drop, probably down to 15-20. Probably got below 10 on my fourth or so. And yeah, down around 7 hours these days, if I’m not intentionally gimping the build somehow.
But absolutely *not* how I would suggest relatively new players to play the game. fricking awful. Talk to the NPCs and do their questline, get run through by hollows, etc, etc, etc. That’s all part of the Dark Souls experience, because it’s part of understanding the world. It’s just not what those of us returning for our umpteenth playthrough are looking for, and that colors the way we tend to picture the game in our heads when we talk about it
