Alright, a few things about Kalameet…

His hitboxes are bullshite, especially when attacking. Just get used to being frustrated by it and keep your health topped off. His fire breath isn’t fire. I want to say it’s a mix of dark magic and physical, but I don’t remember for certain, just keep that in mind when picking your gear. He has, basically, four fire moves. If he flies up, he’s going to do a large circle of fire straight down. Get away as fast as I can. When he dashes, he’s going to rotate around with fire. At mid range, he’ll sweep fire across the field. At long range, he’ll shoot fire straight around, and it has a much larger hitbox than you think and lasts longer than your stamina can hold out. If you try to stay under his feet, he’ll repeatedly do his fly straight up thing. You have to fight him from the front for the most part, only getting underneath enough to hit. If you stay behind him, he’ll tail whip you. If he rears up red, he’s coming down with a grab attack that has a fricking massive hit box. It’s bullshite. Dodge sideways at least twice.

Kalameet is a straight up endurance fight. He has tons of HP and very high armor. To make up for this, he has much longer delays between attacks than Manus. Several of his attacks, if you can dodge them correctly, allow for multiple hits. For example, if you can close distance when he starts his sweep fire attack, you can hit him 3-4 times in the neck. Multiple attacks can be punished several times.

Also because it’s an endurance fight, fully kindle the township fire and put your stack of single humanities on your hot bar. Don’t burn through them to save an obviously hopeless try, but you don’t want to run out of estus with him low on health and have to do it all over again just because you ran out of healing because you’re keeping your health topped off.

That’s it just off the cuff. If you find yourself having issues with particular moves, come back and post them. It will likely jog our collective memory.
