I've been happy with Roku for many years. I've had a fire stick or two over the years but the rokus have always felt faster at similar price points. And while Roku is an ad platform it doesn't feel as intrusive, invasive, annoying as Amazon.

They are not without fault of course. I do get the occasional hung app (usually yttv) and they do seem to appreciate a reboot every month or so. But mostly Roku just gets out of your way and lets you watch what you want to watch.

Yeah I've been in the Roku universe for a long time now and have no complaints.

I hate using fire devices. The Apple device is OK in terms of functionality, but it's just way too limited
