Always get nervous when they say a QB can really "sling" it. How many of the truly great ones were "Slingers"? Not Montana, Brady, Manning. They were smart QBs who were accurate throwers. Favre was a slinger and did well. But slingers usually sling into traffic and get intercepted. Hope this makes sense.

You are overthinking this. It means he has a high degree of arm talent. Sometimes those guys tend to come in a bit overconfident, but with decent coaching & football IQ they get used to seeing college defenses + become more efficient.

His dad is an NFL QB coach, I’m not as worried about ball security as others. He forced some things before, but he’s a junior now. Played behind a Heisman winner, getting coached up by Sloan. I’m not concerned about our offense.

It does. In the bowl game Nuss took what the defense gave him and was patient. But he's also a gunslinger too, always ready to sling it downfield at any opportunity.
