Louisiana food is pretty easy to make generally. I think it's overstated how much of a culinary stronghold it is. Great food, but nothing about it is complex, most of it is due to access to fresh seafood which you can clearly get in other places.

The food is just a thing Louisianans cling to justify not moving out. It’s really not that important bc you can find good food anywhere.
