re: Why do dealers make car buying so difficult

Why does it take 2 hours to get the paperwork done? I paid cash for a 43 mpg commuter in October. I paid their price that was listed on CarGurus. Called them, told them if it was still available I would buy it. Salesman met me in the parking lot, I had the verified check for him, he takes it and returns in about 10 minutes with the paperwork. I’d already told him I was not interested in anything other than the car, no extended warranty, nothing they sold….still took almost 2 hours to get the keys and leave. I’ve bought and sold real estate, cars, boats, all manner of shite in less time.
