He reminds me nothing of Matty, but I do apologize to whoever I brushed off considering him as a stopper/closer. He looked great today.

I think the plan was, and still may be, for him to be a part of the weekend rotation. Once fully healthy, I'm very interested in how we choose to use him.

I think it all depends on how they plan to bring him along. If they want to really limit his innings, then he probably is a closer for one game per weekend. Just one 1-2 inning outing per weekend and he will be done.

If they plan to just slowly stretch him out, then he's a starter by SEC play.

I don't see them strictly managing his innings, and at the same time using him multiple times per week in high leverage situations. If he can handle that, then he can handle starting. And if you think he can handle it, he should absolutely be a starter.

Well. Ott closed. Jump closed the game today. In that sense, he has that one similarity to Ott. That's the only connection some posters can make.
