I sure didn't have him winning the Heisman but then again, no one else had him in the running either. But here is the difference you ignored. No one on the LSU team remotely worked as hard to improve himself as Daniels. He showed up early in the AM to work on his craft, ran VR simulations against defensive sets at faster than realtime speed, went to that good QB camp in California, worked a lot with the WRers in non-team sponsored practice times, etc. I have seen 0 indication that Perkins has hit the weight room. He appears to be no stronger as a SO as he was as a FR.
Daniels worked his arse off to make himself a very high first round pick. As of now, I see no indication that Perkins is working that hard off the field to achieve the same goal. As of the end of the season, he simply isn't a dominant player when the other team assigns a player to block him. You aren't a first round pick simply being an unblocked disruptor.
