I mean, yes? I think I consume more beef - both direct-from-farm and store bought than anyone else on here - and I've actually noticed the prices are lower than they were a year ago.

I would not be surprised at all if the ranch in question from the OP is reliant on all manner of government subsidies. Like someone else on here said - maybe just a bad business plan. I see from the website it involves "delivering from Northeast New Mexico to your door". It doesn't surprise me at all if that turns out to be hard to execute on - regardless of market environment.
