re: If my memory is correct. LSU hasn't seen OL recruiting under Kelly this good since Saban.

Les had solid OL most years.

Solid but not very good. He coached them well, and he got decent results against fair competition. Miles’ lines consistently had guys that the pros didn’t even look at. T-Bob played a lot for us, and he could not have started at Tulane.

yes, he did because he ran the football soo much that he needed solid runblocking OLinemen. About the only time his OLines struggled was against you know who - Alabama. Because Saban knew what he wanted to do and would have his front 7 ready to stop LSUs OLine every time. SMH They dominated LSU in the trenches, and Miles' stubborn butt refused to change or make adjustments like he was prone to do. Everyone of us knew he would continue to try to force the run despite Bama stuffing them every time. SMH Dude just had no creative imagination offensively whatsoever, he was just a Neanderthal when it came to offensive creativity. He had 2 1,000 yrd WRs 1 year in OBJ and Landry and still tried to force the damn run. It's a wonder he did as well as he did at LSU in winning 1 title and lasting that long as headcoach.

Under Miles it was about OL player development and he nailed it.
