Never been before. Where do I buy tickets. Is GA the way to go or do I get assigned seats. What to expect. Do's and Don'ts?

Also dress code?

Park, walk inside casino and get a general admission ticket. Mardi Gras day always has a nice crowd. There really isn't a dress code.

That's all we did and had fun. We walked around more than anything. Watching the race from the rail is the best spot.

You will likely see some local celebrities there on Fat Tuesday, especially if you sit in the clubhouse dining area. Wear a jacket - don’t be a slob.

It has been years since I have been there but yes, food is available to GA but not the really good stuff.
