It caters to the bullied, so it's not surprising.


I never noticed that in the 8 or 9 times I've been. Just speaking for myself I am not pink or purple haired, not overweight, never been bullied. I just appreciate the costumes and music and sets and it's a fun flip on the wizard of oz story.

Seen it twice (oops...3 times) and never noticed that either. The theater was full of normal women and girls, mostly middle and upper middle class. In Houston, probably mostly suburban as well. Dressed nice and enjoying their night at the theater.
