Maybe because the 400 years of slavery people would rather not have to discuss

Truthfully? I'm tired of fricking hearing about it. Slavery officially ended in the United States in December 1865. Just over 158 years ago and well outside of living memory. Segregation came to an end almost 60 years ago and any person who has vivid memories of it would have to be in their mid-70s by now. That's three whole generations of black children born into a world where they enjoy the same rights and privileges as white children. Whenever real racism is found it becomes national news and the culprit is canceled all the way into his/her own, their lives virtually ruined in the process.

Continuing to use racism as an excuse for your failures in 2024 is lazy and quite frankly offensive.
