I purchased some headphones in used like new condition to save money, but when I received them they had a very noticeable fragrance smell all over them. I don't believe it's possible to get this smell out. Some people might actually like the smell, but I'm not a fan of scents like this.

Since these are headphones I was actually going to replace the removable ear pads with brand new aftermarket ones anyways, but that still won't get rid of the smell that is baked into the entire headset.

The listing said no refunds, but eBay usually allows returns regardless.

I feel bad to ask for a return, because maybe I should have asked if the item had any smells if smells were going to be an issue. Even if it's a "good" smell it still bothers me enough to not want them any longer. It's almost as if they sprayed it with some kind of product before sending to me, but I have no idea.

Should I just start the process to return them or should I eat it? I try to be a considerate person. I am interested to know how others would handle this.
